The questions that come up most often, answered straight.
How much does a freelance Next.js or WordPress developer cost?
It depends on scope, which is why the number comes after the first call rather than off a price list. Defined builds are quoted fixed-price so you know the total before anything starts; undefined work is hourly; ongoing work is a monthly retainer. Whichever it is, you get it in writing first.
Do you work with clients in US, Canadian and UAE time zones?
The UAE working day and mine overlap almost completely. For North America, my later hours land on the Eastern morning, so there is a live window every working day and progress waiting for you overnight. Calls get booked inside your working hours, not mine.
How does communication work on a remote project?
On whatever you already use — Slack, email, WhatsApp, your own project tool. You get a staging link from the first week so progress is visible without having to ask for it, and a written update each week covering what moved and what is next.
Can you take over an existing website or codebase?
Yes, and a good share of my work is exactly that. I read what is already there and match its conventions instead of rewriting it to my own taste. If I think a rewrite is genuinely the cheaper path I will tell you why, but it is not the opening move.
What is a typical project timeline?
A straightforward marketing site is usually a few weeks. A store or an application with real logic behind it takes longer. The honest answer is that the delay on most projects is waiting for copy and images, not the code.
Do you work white-label for agencies?
Yes. Under your name, in your process, with your client never needing to hear mine. If you have more won work than capacity, that is a normal way to work together.
Who owns the code and the accounts?
You do. Code, hosting, domain and any third-party accounts stay in your name, and handover includes a walkthrough plus documentation for anything non-obvious. You can hand the project to another developer tomorrow without needing me.
What happens if something breaks after launch?
Fixing what turns out to be broken is part of the build, not a separate invoice. Beyond that, ongoing work is either ad-hoc hourly or a retainer, depending on how much you actually need.
Do you handle design as well as development?
I build. If you have a designer, I work to their files and match them closely. If you do not, I can produce something clean and functional — but a dedicated designer will beat me on visual direction, and I would rather say that than take the work and disappoint you.
What do you not take on?
Native mobile apps, and anything where the honest answer is that you need a specialist instead. I would rather turn down the work than be the wrong person holding it.
